South Wales Fire and Rescue Service – Update regarding press enquiries

Due to the recent spate of wildfires and high volume of calls in recent weeks, we would like to request that all press enquiries are directed to our dedicated press mailbox, rather than via Control.

Our Control Operators are currently experiencing high volumes of calls, and their focus must be kept to dispatching appropriate resource to emergencies in a timely manner. Please do not call them to request information around incidents.

A duty press officer will be available to manage all press enquiries between 7:00am and 10:00pm daily. Please contact us via media@southwales-fire.gov.uk and we will respond to you in a timely manner.

To ensure that we can respond as efficiently as possible, we kindly request that you provide accurate times and locations for any incidents, which will help us quickly locate information on our system.
