Her Majesty The Queen, Queen Elizabeth II, 1926 – 2022 

We are saddened to hear the news of the passing of Her Majesty The Queen.

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service Chief Fire Officer, Huw Jakeway, said: 

“I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Her Majesty The Queen. It is a great comfort knowing that she was surrounded by family and loved ones and I offer my condolences to the Royal Family at this time. 

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service recognise Her loss is felt across the nation, and as a mark of respect, flags across South Wales Fire and Rescue will be flown at half-mast.” 

In 2022, Her Majesty The Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service.
