Black History Month 2022
Throughout this October, Team South Wales will be marking #BlackHistoryMonth with several activities, in our quest to be a more diverse workforce representing all people within our communities.
Firefighter Alex Szekely, of Station 21 Aberbargoed, represents the black and ethnic minority staff network within South Wales Fire and Rescue Service and has shaped how the Service will celebrate the month.

Firefighter Szekely said “Black History Month is a way to celebrate the diversity and different experiences within the Fire and Rescue Service. I’m proud to represent the Service and I hope that more people from our communities will consider a career with us, as we strive to represent the diverse communities that we serve.”
