INCIDENT | Gelli Wildfire 29/05/23

At approximately 1:34pm on Monday 29 May 2023, we received reports of a wildfire in Gelli, Pentre. 

Multiple crews have attended the scene of the wildfire alongside partner agencies. 

Specialist equipment, including fire beaters, a helicopter, National Resource Wales excavator and forestry hose have been utilised.

Firefighters created fire breaks to help manage and prevent the fire from spreading further. 

A stop message was received at approximately 12:12pm on Wednesday 31 May 2023.  

We will continue to monitor the scene as a safety precaution.
