INCIDENT – Park Place, Cardiff (09/05/2023)

At approximately 11:13am on Tuesday 9 May 2023, we received reports of a chemical spill at Cardiff University’s Main Building on Park Place, Cardiff. 

Multiple crews from stations across South Wales are currently in attendance, alongside emergency service colleagues and partner agencies. 

This is a contained incident and the building has been evacuated and temporarily closed. 

The road is closed between Museum Place and Cathays Terrace. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible. 

A stop message was received at approximately 4:08pm.
