Project Edward (Every Day Without A Road Death), the biggest platform for showcasing good practice in road safety in the UK, recently joined with future doctors and medical care providers from Cardiff University to discuss all things road safety.
In this recorded event which will be played on Tuesday 4 March 2025, 11:00 – 12:00, you’ll have the opportunity to hear the concerns and questions of young people training to be doctors.

The panel, made up of experts from government officials, medical experts and emergency service representatives, features:
The event, which was recorded in mid-February at Cardiff University School of Medicine, will provide valuable insights into preventing and responding to road traffic collisions, collaboration between emergency services, and applying the Safe System principles in the future career of a young clinician.
James Luckhurst, founder of Project Edward said: “Members of the Project EDWARD team are hugely grateful to South Wales Fire and Rescue Service for spearheading such an exciting and worthwhile initiative. They identified an opportunity to engage with tomorrow’s emergency clinicians and to put road safety and the Safe System at the top of the agenda. Even better, they secured the services of top presenter Jason Mohammad to manage the question-and-answer session with energy and insight.
“There is already interest from other authorities to replicate what happened at the University of Cardiff. This demonstrates its value as a way of bringing experts together with young people to identify emerging threats and opportunities for reducing harm on our roads.”
This event is part of Cardiff University School of Medicine’s commitment to providing diverse clinical learning experiences and supporting communities across Wales.
