Passing of former South Wales Fire and Rescue Authority Member, Robert Greenland

It is with profound sadness that we share the news that former Fire Authority Member Cllr Robert (Bob) Greenland of Monmouthshire County Council of South Wales Fire and Rescue Authority has passed away.

Robert, who also served as chair of the FAPM (Finance, Audit, and Performance Management) committee proudly undertook his duties within the South Wales Fire and Rescue Authority from 2004 – 2012. Our thoughts and condolences are with his family, friends and former colleagues.

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service Chief Fire Officer, Huw Jakeway, said:

‘Bob was a long and loyal serving Member of South Wales Fire Authority, he ensured that the Service had the necessary kit, equipment and personnel to serve our communities well.’
