South Wales Fire and Rescue Service supports Pride Cymru

On Saturday 22nd June, members of staff from across South Wales Fire and Rescue Service met at Cardiff Castle to show their support for the LGBTQ+ community, by attending the annual Pride Cymru parade.

Representing South Wales Fire and Rescue were over 30 colleagues from across the Service – from Firefighters to Control, corporate staff to senior leadership – some even brought their children along to take part in Wales’s largest celebration of equality and diversity.

As a Service, we are passionate about keeping everyone in our communities safe, and being an employer that reflects all the people we serve. Fire doesn’t discriminate – and neither do we!

Thank you to all our staff and volunteers who gave up their Saturdays to march with pride in the parade, and to those who worked at the market stall in the festival area, sharing valuable home safety and recruitment advice.

We’re already looking forward to next year’s Pride parade!
