STATEMENT: FBU announces ballot result to accept the pay offer

The Fire Brigades Union have announced today that their members have voted to accept the National Employers improved pay offer, of 7% backdated to last July 2022 and a further 5% from July 2023.

Chief Fire Officer Huw Jakeway QFSM said, “I am very pleased that a solution to the national pay dispute has been found without the need for industrial action. This ongoing dispute has created a great deal of uncertainty for everyone.  Accepting this pay offer is a relief for everyone, and I hope that it goes some way to addressing the cost of living pressures.”
