STATEMENT: Fire Brigades Union improved pay offer

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service is encouraged to see that following productive discussions with the National Employers, the Fire Brigades Union (FBU) will ballot its members on a revised offer from the National Employers.

The improved offer is 7% backdated to July 2022 and 5% from this July.

The FBU have also postponed any nationwide Firefighter strikes, which is welcomed by the Service.

The ballot result is now in the hands of the FBU membership across the UK, and we are hopeful a resolution for the pay dispute can be agreed.
