Update: Monmouth Residential Park Flood Risk
Earlier today South Wales Fire & Rescue Service alongside our partners including Gwent Police, Natural Resources Wales and Monmouthshire County Council worked collaboratively to support, advise and evacuate residents of Riverside Park in Monmouth as the River Wye threatened to flood the site.
Whilst at the scene we also received a call from a nearby farmer reporting that his sheep were trapped by the raising flood water. Operational crews assisted the farmer in moving the sheep to a place of safety
The river level is being constantly monitored by Natural Resources Wales and further warnings and action will be taken if necessary.
If any residential properties are directly affected by the flooding or any residents have any concerns, please call 999 for advice and assistance in evacuating the property.
