Women in the Fire Service UK – National Training and Development Event 2023
Six members of South Wales Fire and Rescue Service were fortunate to attend this year’s National Training and Development Event held by Women in the Fire Service UK.
Delegates from fire and rescue services across the UK visited the Fire Service College in Morton over three days in early June, for a packed programme of practical and interactive workshops, guest speakers, fitness activities anawards ceremony and much more. The event was a space for women working in fire and rescue services to connect with like-minded professionals across a multitude of services.
Regional representative and Firefighter, Clare Amor from Maindee Station said:
“This 21st WFS development weekend, “stronger together”, has given the delegates that attended and the volunteers who made the weekend happen an injection of inspiration, positivity, empowerment and laughter. I am very proud of the females that attended this year and hope the support from SWFRS for this event continues next year,so a greater number of delegates can attend and experience what the WFS organisation is all about.”
